Here at Fleet Feet, we believe that a fit community is a happy one, and we work hard to help that happen through our community involvement. We sponsor local races, special events and talks related to fitness. One of the most exciting community activities we've undertaken recently is our sponsorship of dozens of disadvantaged elementary school children for the Blue Shoes Run last spring.
Fleet Feet staff members are happy to provide talks and demonstrations on fitness-related topics for clubs, health fairs, corporations, schools, colleges, church groups, free of charge. Sure, we sell running and walking gear, but we're also committed to helping our community members be as healthy and fit as possible. Let us know about your group and what you're interested in, and we'll customize a program for you.
One of the members of the Greenville community we've been helping recently is Chase Murphy, a DJ for the radio station B93.7. He's been working on getting fit and healthy, especially since he discovered earlier this year that he's diabetic. Losing weight and increasing his exercise have improved his blood sugar as well as his blood pressure.
